Default Anybody fishing for crappie on Pomme de Terre?

I was wondering how the crappie fishing on Pomme de Terre lake has been since the cool down and what techniques are working. I am not very good with a crappie jig yet, but it may be time to practice.

Basically, I started learning lake fishing last year (grew up on the Current River) and lately when I get the chance to fish, I have been fishing at Stockton for walleye. Unfortunately that bite is slowing down and the crappie pattern that worked last year there cranking, has not worked for me since the water went down.

    Thanks!

Crappie is on fire at Pomme, lower end of lake is just find stumps ,drop to the bottom and slow retreive up,lots of stumps are just below the top so be careful, wish they would finish lowering the lake so it's not so dangerous.fish up the river is good a day or two after these fronts with some huge fish being caught, but more a sure thing on the lower end of the lake, length limit is 9 in on Pomme so hope this helps.jigs or minnows are both working

Awesome and thanks for the report! I am going to try to go tomorrow afternoon. If I have any luck, I will let you know. One of these days, I need to learn how to post pictures.

Sadly, I didn't get to go yesterday, so hoping for this weekend. Hopefully this cold weather and rain doesn't affect them too much.
