to stay warm Mark! it was perfect weather with temps in upper 70's but no humidity and nice breezes. especially out on water where it was very chilly and we dressed in layers. Perfect weather which is one of the appeals.

I think it's called being spoiled (me).......... Having access to cohos, kings, steelheads and browns almost year-round, I can't convince myself to eat a laker. I've had them prepared basically every way and just not a fan. They are a blast to catch though. In the fall we'll go out and jig the breakwater gaps with light gear and catch em, just a lot of fun.
U
We ate them last year and they were fine. Course dont have access like u robbie. They sure were blast to catch

If you are still up there in the Sheboygan/Manitowac area run over to the little town of Newton and visit Newton Meats. Incredible meat shop with many types of wieners, sausage, brats, etc. My great Uncle John Wadginski started the place well over 50 years ago and they still use his recipes. Every trip to WI I load up a cooler and freeze when I get home.
Nice. That weather and fishing will spoil you.
WOW!!!! Ya'll did good. One day I'd like to make that trip.
guy that organized trip is fixated on cheese shops so we went to couple of those. Went to sheybogan falls and then down to Milwaukee for couple nights. Great town to visit and still able to go to docks and see the salmon coming in.
BTW buddy came home first and smoke a lake trout big filet and it was delicious!
