Taneycomo is mainly a trout lake. Not sure if there's crappie in there or not but Table Rock is right next door
Thinking of going to Branson this fall. Was curious if anyone has caught crappie on Lake Taneycomo?

Taneycomo is underrated as a fishery because of table rock which imo is a crappy lake to fish. Too much big boat traffic. There’s guys that catch big crappie on both lakes but I’m not one of them. Personally I’d go up north to Stockton or pomme before fishing either of them for crappie.

Yup, crappie are there. I had one over 15 inches several years ago, but from my limited experience with them on Taney, they're kinda sporadic in the upper 1/2 of the lake. I bet there is a more consistent bite in the lower half, but haven't tried for them down lake.
Thanks, been going to Taneycomo for years but was looking for more fishing options than trout. Table Rock is too big for me
