TH is extremely high right now.
Hello everyone,
I wanted to start by thanking you all for sharing your (hard earned) information. It has helped me to be a much more successful and prepared fisherman, and I have met some great folks through this site. For that I am very thankful.
With that being said, I live just south of Columbia and have fished Thomas Hill for some time, targeting crappie in the dead of winter and very early spring with pretty good success. I have this weekend free, and would love to explore the main lake a little more and try to get after them in the summer time.
I am just looking for some direction about summer time crappie on TH, not your specific honey hole, though I wouldn't turn that down! I have a little boat set up to spider rig, or could switch things up to push or pull crank baits as well, but dont have as much experience with cranks for crappie. my plan was to target main lake brush piles in 10-20 foot of water using double rigged minnows or 1/16 oz jigs, but wanted to see what some of you CDC sages had to say about that. If anyone has advice or would like to tag along to fish in exchange for information feel free to comment or private message me. Thanks again, and good luck!
EVERYTHING is extremely high now!
last week water was up to the fish cleaning station at T ramp and muddy. As we texted look for the main lake brush piles south of T or N of warm water. They don't get much pressure and are usually productive. Good luck, can't make it this weekend or I would go hunting with you!
