Nice!
Stayed at the 3 mile marker from the 23rd thru 28th and did pretty good throwing at the bank catching males and a few females. I met a nice lady who said she and her husband did good trolling crank baits and that's all I needed to hear. The next two and a half days were spent watching my rods double over in rapid succession. Find a large creek, look for shad in 30 to 60 feet of water and the crappie will not be far away. The best jig was a pink panfish assassin on a 1/32 oz head, and a blue n' char slab buster (funny I did not throw blue ice this time). For crank baits I used a Bandit 300, Berkley Flicker Shad, and a Bomber Fat Free Guppy trolled at 1.2 to 1.6 mph....I do not think color mattered. I fished the Big Bass Bash and let's just say I should of just kept trolling for crappie...I even went after the tournament and limited out just to redeem myself.

Nice!
that's quite a contrast going from pitching to shallow water on the bank to cranking or trolling in 30 to 60 FOW! But you gotrdone and shame on you for going after those green carp! LOL. glad you came to your senses and went back to catching silver beauties!
