Tried to get a pic of dead water and boats. Can't figure out how to turn and zoom in a little.
Tony only had Friday to fish so away we went. Figured the dead water might have a little wind break yeah right. Got there around 745 crowd was already gathered seen 3 guide boats to include Richard Bowling so thought we would be in fish. Well it was fish here 10 min later maybe another one and not a keeper watching the other 15 boats right close to us it was the same for them. Maybe we should have put the rigging poles up and used a jig and minnow down deeper. Left the dead water and headed for Windsor crossing hoping the wind would be better wrong. Talked to two fishermen taking out and they had done no good and were tired of the wind. Stopped by C store in case they had a good idea sent us back to a spot downstream of the dead water it was less wind and we caught 3 nice ones right off the bank. Noticed a point on the way down with fish on it went back to it and caught most of our fish there. Learned a little, visited a lot, and gave the troller batteries a good workout. Even brought home 24 crappie 2 catfish and 3 whites.

Sometimes you just got to do it. You got a bunch of filets for your hard work.

Nice mess of fish. Thanks for the report and pics.
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
Looks like plenty to eat...
Way to stick with it!
