Default Turkey and crappie were ignoring us

Gobbling at daylight then nothing. When they have real things don't need to advertise. Oh well will get them next week. Crappie bite was non existant for first 2 days and partner wanted to work on mowers and do maintenance so I hit lake by myself. After frustrating hour on place I have been doing real well I was getting ready to release the one keeper crappie I had when I looked at brush along shore and said the famous One last cast. Then it was on! Hit one Male dressed in tuxedo after another. Had 9 in no time but had to leave as were meeting guys who were hunting south of us. We ate ourselves almost into at awesome buffet and commiserated over no action on birds then went back as moon rising. Finished my limit quickly and buddy picked up few.

Went back next morning thinking more would move in but only 1 5hen picked up nice fat females back out on brush where we caught them previously. Really jeckle and hyde fishing depending on weather fronts. IOW typically midwest spring fishing. Which is why Kevin Roger's just Hates the spring. Jig color was something w chartreuse, 10 fow females, 1 to 3 foot males.Name: 20190416_205019.jpeg

That "Last Cast" always ends up getting me in trouble with the wife.

    Good job!
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles
