Sac River Access
Is there any place to park at Highway 54 and the Sac River and is it safe to leave your car unattended. I looked at what police reports I could find and looks like there are a lot of property crime in the area?
In another thread someone pointed out that property owners along the Sac are particularly sensitive to trespass. Does that mean that walking the bank is likely to cause conflict?

I went to Caplinger Mill today and the guy that ran the bait-shop there for years told me that the Crappie just moved up to the dam yesterday. I caught as many as I wanted but you have to catch a lot of them to get many over 10 inches. I can't really recommend it other than I find the river to be aesthetically pleasing. Of the twelve or so people that caught fish all the fish came out of the same little area of water making it not such a good location for crowds.
