Thread: Wappapello 3/7

Had the day off and weather was too good not to go lol

Put in at Redman ramp and headed up to Rockwood and started to spider rig 10-13 FOW 5-9 FD
Started out with a mix of jigs and jigs tipped with Minnows
We were trying our new Rockport rattler jig heads
I love them!!!
Had 1/16oz on top and 1/8oz on bottom
I got first fish on before I got all the rest baited.
Water temp 54.5-56 degrees

Caught quite a few in there but we couldn’t find any size to em so we headed on up the lake to
Possum creek started fishing right at mouth and caught several as we came around the point
15FOW 9FD
Magic depth was 11-12FoW 5-8 FD
Still a lot of shorts but did get a few keepers in there
Water was stained but good
Temp was 56-57.5

Best color was orange/chart., junebug/chart.,and blue/silver dint seem to matter either way minnows or not.

Dad caught almost all his on black/chart. And Wisconsin chart./silver sparkle.

So basically Chart. Lol!!!!

Head back to ramp 4pm

It was a great day on the water and beautiful weather sun all day don’t think the wind ever got over 10mph !!! Air temp was chilly in morning
28degrees when we left house 43 at ramp but got up to 63 by 1pm
