    Default Finally got to fish.

Went sunday on the lower Osage. Missouri flooding and mud and so is the Gasconade. We figured the Osage was the best bet. It was up from water being let out of dams but clarity was better. Water temp was 40 and wind blowing down the river not matter were we tried to fish. Felt like setting in a frig with the fan on. Finally did catch 3 channel cats for supper and I caught this 10 lb carp. None fought very much they were to cold. Just like us. I put my Frog Toggs poncho on over my sweats and hooded jacket to cut the wind. It helped. Hubby even put his on. It was good to get out. Name: DSCN0767.jpg

It doesn’t seem as cold when you’re catching fish

Nice! Believe it or not, some of the best fish I have ever tasted was in Iraq a couple of years ago. Turns out it was wood grilled carp! Go figure...
