I知 wondering if anyone had ever crappie fished at night when their shallow. We致e got a bass/crappie fishing trip planned for Lake Fork the week after next. When we drive 7 hours for big bass and big crappie we try not to waste any time so we fish day and night. Their saying the crappie should be close to being on their beds then. The bass fishing is good shallow at night but I致e never tried crappie. Has anyone had any luck?

I fished the spawn years ago at Fork and we did some night fishing. Used the black lights and did well pitching and bobber fishing. Good luck and take pics.
My dad and I are planning another trip down there next spring.

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.hdhntr LIKED above post

Lil Baby ought to know he is one of them see in the dark folks.
For myself, I have done better at night in, the past, on lakes that are heavier with traffic. I've seen them move off the banks during the day, with all the boat traffic, then stack up once the boats get off the lake.
