Sorry for all the questions but you've got my brain working OT on this. LOL Where did you get the HDPE? Is it UV stabilized? Is that similar to the way "factory" sets are made? With a central hub for everything to pivot on? You've got my wheels turning hard. I'm definitely going to make a set this summer, but your drawings showed me that your build/design is completely different than I had thought you'd built it. For the pivot blocks or whatever they are called, I was expecting plates on both sides with the tube bolted between the plates, if that makes sense.
We use that HPPE on our heavy equipment for scrapers. It wears like iron for us and stands the UV light. It’s nothing fancy or special. The factory ones are made from machined aircraft aluminum. The main reason I used plastic and the telspar posts was trying to keep the weight down.
