    Finally had opportunity ice fish for trout and did well. Buddy from LSL has friend from Wisconsin lives here now and had auger so drilled holes and we caught bunch. Busch lake was catch and release after February 1 u can keep. Powerbait.     4 inches. it never moved or cracked and last day to do it as warm weather was happening.

    4 inches is plenty. We used to ride our 4wheelers out on Clinton Lake in Kansas to ice fish on 4 inches of ice.
