It's like picking lottery numbers. I would say more like the first or second weekend of may since they are north of St Louis.
If you could plan a trip to Mark Twain, what week would you go to catch the spawn and the crappie up on the banks?
I'm just curious in Last week in April would be best.

I would say that would be a good time to go. And welcome aboard
Wayyyy too early to tell and honestly, I'd say the same thing in March (too early to tell). If I HAD to pick a time, I'd lean towards the latter end of what Mark said because you SHOULD be able to find spawning fish somewhere on the lake during that period of mid-May. Remember, it's a combination of water temp, length of days, etc., not simply a date on the calendar.
Twain is extremely sensitive to fluctuating water levels, cold fronts, etc. so if you can, pay attention to those factors as it closes in on spring (as well as this site).
