Good for you, been there and done that. I love my vest, but sometimes I still take it off. I am getting better at keeping it on.

It can definitely be a bad deal to fall in. I fell in a couple years ago and drug my dad in with me (not by choice, he grabbed my jacket as i went in) and we weren't wearing pfd's. Luckily we are both confident swimmers. But my dad taught me a good trick to get back in if no one is there to help pull u in. Swim to the back of the boat and step on the plenum above the prop hug the motor cover and use the trim to roll u into the boat. Easiest way without a ladder. I now have a manual inflatable vest

My wife has been on me about getting PFD. I fish alone a lot threw the winter months. She doesn't like the cold.

Ive been in multiple times as have my fishing partners(while fishing)...to me no kill switch and lifejacket when boat is under power is like not wearing a seatbelt. STUPID and a DANGER to others.

could the guy not get himself in with the big motor power trim?

Not sure he had thought of that Husker. Had an older Force outboard, not sure they have an engine mounted power trim button anyway.

Great reminder. Glad you came along when you did.
