    Default Truman Newbie Tacos

Well we tried our first hand at fishing Truman. We're actually from IL but here for some construction work. We tried Pearl Bend on some flats and got nothing but dinks then moved east to a small creek and picked up on 2 cats and 3 white bass. We would like to get on some decent crappie so we can treat our Hispanic crew to some real fish tacos. Any locals help would be greatly appreciated. Graciuos Amigos. I could attach a contour map if anyone wants to pm info. Big Mike said there ain't no dang crappy in this lake!!!!!

Thanks RL. That's our next location to try. We got some info from our supervisor that lives in AR. He said we were crazy going online and asking for info on fishing here. He said the "show me state" won't show you squat!!!

SC, Big Mikes really tore up now, we went to TBell for tacos and they don't even have fish on the menu!!!

I have not been fishing Truman but some of the last post from some said they where fishing flats is 8-10 ft water and fishing standing timber using minnows on 1/8 oz jig heads. Just what I have seen on here.

    Big Mike don't know squat.
Bucksaw, flats, dipping trees, jig & minnow. Right now you will have to work a bit for them. Won't be long and it will get better. Spider rigging will pick up.
    Heed ripnlips post above.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.

I have never fished Truman, but have paid attention to the forums. You can scroll through them and find threads where Truman is in the caption, or go to the search box and type in Truman and find threads on fishing Truman. Might help in where to fish and how they are catching and what was used. It is at least a start, and in MHO better than jumping in blindly and fishing un productive water....Hope you catch some, and good luck.
