Thanks clownfish. This boat is going to get slimed yet. Adrenaline is something else. I think I broke some calcium loose in my left shoulder. Didn't feel it when everything was a happening real quick. Now everything is slowed down, It started hurting pretty good. Put my hand up there right on the joint and it feels like there is all kinds of mess in their popping and grinding. And feels like someone's holding a red hot poker to it when it's sitting still not doing nothing. Got a home made ice pack ( water with 30% of the liquid volume is rubbing alcohol ) on it right now. That and I.B.U.Profen today and see what that does. Don't need to go to Dr. and hear to do what I'm doing...Can't hardly wait to get this boat in the water, but want it as close to right as possible when I do. Thank again for the kind words and encouragement. Eric, AKA "jamesdean".

Yep Clownfish, I totally understand the fixing thing up part. My wife came up here before I did because here work brought her here while I stayed in Florida helping my sister with her husband who had Ahlziemers. An ex truck driver, and a full handful. After he passed and everything started to settle down at sis's, I came up here. Now my wife said she had gotten us a mobile home that was already set up, and was good to go. 36 payments and she was happy. But it needed a few things fixed, nothing major. Nothing that I couldn't fix, and after it was payed for we could put on a piece of property, if that's what I wanted.
Well I think she thinks I'm a miracle worker. Mobile homes have hard pressed board walls, Flexible tubing for pipes, ( have to be careful as some of this mess was recalled for causing cancer)… and particle board flooring. After talking with the guy she got this thing from, he had found it in a field, in storage where it had been a some time, not blocked or braced. Had widows broken, that he and I'm thinking teenagers replaced. The back door didn't fit right, since been fixed, unfortunately with a common house door not a mobile home door, and then it wasn't done right and I get to redo...also the kitchen floor feels like a lake with choppy water looks like, so I get the pleasure of replacing that and at least the sink counter. No holes in the floor, all the plumbing works, windows are where they supposed to be, and no fuses pop when you use something. So I guess it's like it's supposed to be. Just something to do around here everyday. No lack anything to keep me busy. On top of working on the boat, and going fishing when I make the time to do so, "cause it's good for me.....

Hello everyone, Just an update. No I have not abandoned the boat project. Late last week we had some severe weather here, then my baby came in off the road. While she was here we went out and bought her a new to us Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Edition of 2004 vintage. Great little vehicle. Then mid-day Saturday I discovered a major problem in the house, probably made worse by that water leak we had a while back. I am currently in the middle of replacing floor in the kitchen, then the laundry room. Did I say I disliked particle board before, Well I sure am now. This stuff needs to be banned as a structural building material. Especially for flooring. This is some messed up stuff.
I say contributed to the damage as once the floor covering came up, one can see previous damage and some messed up repair jobs that I get to fix...lucky me. Been working on this for two days and can Hardly see any progress. between very sore back and muscle cramps I am taking a break today. I have plywood down over the hole for now, and will get back on it in the morning. All will be back to good, least wise as far as the kitchen goes when momma comes home in two more weeks. Unfortunately, no progress on the boat till this is done. One of life's set-backs slowed the progress a bit. Back on it as soon as I can. Eric, AKA "Jamesdean".

Beautiful Week-end to be fishing. Floor joists are wet on top so I have some big fans blowing on them in hopes of drying them out some before I go putting insulation down and then the sub-floor. Anyone have experience putting insulation in from the top? Going to try. String some bailing wire between the floor joists about every 18 inches or so and then lay the insulation in, lay down the sub floor and secure it. Ground vaper plastic is under there already and I really am not wanting to climb under this trailer, remove it put ine insulation in, then put it, ( the plastic ), back up again.Hopefully this will work. If not then we'll do it the hard way...lol.Will be glad when I can get back to the boat project, Maybe next week if everything goes well. Till later everyone. Eric, AKA "Jamesdean".

Thank you Redge. Really needed a vote of confidence. I am way out of my field of expertise here. When I was in the service as a cook, seems I did more maintenance on the equipment and bosses projects than cooking. Not afraid of trying new things, and all information on the subjects are welcome...

As some of you may know ( if you have read the MAIN FORUM this week-end) This has not been a good week-end for us. Over the last week our baby (fur baby) Rosie went down hill fast. On last Thursday she was diagnosed as having diabetes. Her sugar was over 700, close to 800. Her liver enzymes were to high for the meter to read at the vet's office which goes to 1000. She stayed between the vets office and the vet hospital all day Thursday and Friday. Friday evening they sent her home with meds. Saturday she was back in emergency care where we were informed her liver had completely shut down. I had no choice but to put her down. I will not make an animal suffer. Momma was tore up Saturday and most of Sunday but we had to pull it together. My fur baby had a great life, and we need to celebrate that. She will be missed This after loosing our other fur baby Tinker to old age, 18, in July. Unfortunately momma had to return to work this morning. Some folks just don't understand, fur babies are Family, the same as a human child. We feel we need a fur baby for this house to be home, so we are looking at getting a couple more Chihuahuas. Maybe by the time momma gets home in two weeks. But right now there is no work on the boat. I will start again soon, just not right yet. Till then please pray...Eric.

Just a thought can you incorporate a 90 on the top of your bilge pump hose?

They used to sell wires precut for 16” on center boards, that wedged in and held insulation up.I would buy stiff wire and cut to fit where some lengths may be different.Sorry about Rosie. If any consultation I feel your pain about trailers!
