I was cutting across a cove with it set on 10. 1880 rangerMS pretty heavy boat. I caught a stump just perfect. Fished it out of the lake with the foot controller.
Shattered my terrova shaft but never the head. I love the ultrex but muddy water, stumps just be a little careful on the higher speeds. Oh mine is a 101 lbs and I was pushing 3 mph !!!! This shaft will not break before the head.

Original set up seems important. I’m terrible about not reading instructions, this product is probably the exception to that rule. Spot lock and a momentary switch problem (easy fix on that one) seem to be the most frequently mentioned issues. Some have also had a problem when tracking with hooking a 90 degree turn and going to 100% power, bit more dangerous if standing up. Watch for stumps, friend already has two of those $400+ repair jobs invested in his.

Make no mistake owners love them, most issues seem to be operator error. Guy that has broken two could tear up an anvil.

Well got it put on and wow, feels strange not driving the trolling motor when you are on a trail. Took it to the Windsor Park Lake to do the rest of the settings because I didn't have enough daylight left to run down to Truman, I'm sure people driving by thought I was drunk when I was trying to learn how to operate this thing.
