    Default Stockton campgrounds

For you all that fish Stockton I am looking for a good campground. I hope to come down a couple times this year to camp and fish with the family. Here is a couple things I am looking for.
One with a ramp or close to a ramp. Camping along the shoreline so I could pull the boat up to load and unload kids.
Close to some good flats to troll cranks.
Electric site to charge boat in the evenings would be a plus.
If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. We use to camp at Orleans Trail but thinking the better fishing for cranks would be further down the lake

I camp at Cedar Ridge at lot but you need to be on loop B if you want water front site also Ruark Bluff east and west has waterfront sites and Hawker Point has some waterfront sites. Cedar Ridge would be on the little Sac arm about half way up the river. Hawker Point is on the big Sac arm just above where the little Sac comes in with some great waterfront sites. Ruark Bluff is where Suns Creek comes into big Sac and both east and west has some waterfront sites. State Park is very nice but no waterfront sites. Mutton Creek has great a dock but I don't like there camp grounds JMO. Hope this helps.

We camp at Cedar Ridge as well. As J.M. stated you'll want to be on loop "B" for water front sites. The facilities are well kept, the boat ramp is in good condition and easily accessible. There are all types of sites to meet your needs as well (ie. water/electric).

State park is nice and has a marina that you can get a slip and just drive down the hill and get in your boat. They also have a little restaurant at the marina to grab a sandwich if needed. They also have nice two bedroom duplexs with kitchenetes to stay in if you don't want to camp. In the spring and the fall they have a special where if you pay for two nights stay you get the third night free.

Thanks for the replies guys. I wi’ll check out Cedar Ridge and the others on the map. Was just thinking if I had waterfront I could pull up to pick up or drop off kids. They like to go out but don’t usually last long. Will probably take the tube along for them to ride on between fishing and that would make it easier also. Can’t wait to get down there for a weekend. Now to find the time Stockton campgrounds

Yep camped at Cedar Ridge last year and loved it, next to the water and there is a rock island we played around on by the boat ramp. Thinking about going back down and trying those Walleye again.

That’s what I am after to Brian. Lots of crappie caught trolling cranks down there while trying to catch a eye. Keeps the kids entertained that way. Guess I’ll check out Cedar ridge.

cedar ridge is nice, and close to some good walleye fishing, state park is where I keep my boat and it is a really nice marina. bring your gps, give me a call and I will drive you around in the boat and you can mark some good spots. you decide.
