A good day on the water is what it is all about. Catching fish is a bonus. Good job

Got up early and headed to Osage at Pikes Access. On the water at 6:30. Water clarity was murky. Caught a 6 lb. and 4 lb drum trolling. Went upriver a ways and tried bass fishing but the river had dropped and bad clarity they didn't want to play for us. Husband did catch 1-12 1/2" and I had 1 about 8" plus 2 that would be lucky to measure 4". Lol. Found some shade and bait fished. I caught a 10 lb. carp and hubby caught several small drum. Catfish are to busy spawning to want to play. Turned everything loose that we caught. 2:30 decided to leave and beat the crowd. We were around 13 miles upstream from ramp and on the way back down I never saw so many boats and people on that stretch of water. It was crazy. But at the ramp there was rigs parked everywhere. But luckily no one wanting to use ramp. So got out without a hitch.

Sounds like a good day on the water even with crowds.
Had to be a hot one out there. Thanks for the report.
Yes it was hot but we sat in the shade with a slight breeze. Wish the MDC would make the parking lot at Pikes bigger. They have the land to do it. St. Thomas they can't. It is under a bridge with private property surrounding it. Doubt they would sell. In fact the one nice house by the ramp has No Parking. Violators Will Be Towed. Don't blame them I wouldn't my driveway or yard used as a parking lot.
Thanks for the report.
