    Default LOZ Teen Angler Results

My son Caleb and his partner Nathan finished 9th out of 277 boats Saturday with a weight of 8.83 the winning total was just over 14 lbs. It was a tough day with most boats weight coming in with 1, 2 or no fish. This was their first bass fishing tournament so they are really excited anxious for the next which will be at Truman.

Congrats to the young men. Was that through school? I know a lot of schools are starting up bass fishing teams to compete against other schools.

Yep, they are on the Bolivar team. It is open to both middle and high school students. The website is Home -

We just need a crappie tournament for them now!

Those boys done good. Thing is...........
Once you start it's hard to stop. I know. It's serious. If you are not serious you have no business there. And expensive.
Next thing you know it's Kimberling City, April, cold morning, a 250 boat limit tournament, pays $8000 to win, $2500 big bass................ And 250 show up. Pitch dark, yer sipping coffee in a cove waiting to go, red & green lights everywhere, you can walk shore to shore on the boats, lotta friendly BS'n between boats...... It gets lighter, amazing amount of bass boats. Then it's your turn, idle out, take your hat off, get on plane and open it up......... Let's go fishing
    And then next weekend..............
    They'll love it.
I'll smoke just about anything (in my smoker)
The fishing is always great. The catching varies.
