Default Seven Days at the LOZ

I had some vacation to burn before I lost it so I headed down to Crappiejoe12's cabin for a week of bass fishing. It was fairly tough, typical October, the fish seemed to be scattered and the bite around Bagnall Dam is usually not as good as on the river section. I did find some success skipping shallow docks and throwing a wacky worm in real skinny water around shad/brush. One day the big gizzards were schooling near the surface and every time a fish would bust I'd throw a weightless wacky worm in the swirl and they'd hit almost every time. Also did well one day in the pouring rain throwing a double willow spinner bait at dock corners in Soap Creek. Decided to fish the Big Bass Bash and only got one fish worthy of weighing in. I came up .07 pounds out of a money spot after a brutal run to Point Randall. I did have a real nice fish on Saturday throwing a spinnerbait in the cold cold rain, but I watched her wrap me around the dock post and instantly saw my line. I wish I had my 5lb 9oz instead that I got in Soap Creek flipping a Zoom Brush Hog a few days earlier. Back to work tomorrow...bummer...well I guess not since I need to work to afford to fish...but yeah

Can't beat a week of fishing. You will be back to crappie fishing once the cold weather sets in.

Looks like a nice green fish there.
If we did what was most important in life there
would be a shortage of Bibles.................and fishing poles

Good looking fish. We usually spend 4 weeks at Table Rock every year. 2 in the spring and 2 in the fall. We're retired. Haven't been this year because of my back surgery. Come January watch out fish!!!
