    Default Twain and Hill update?

It just so happened to work out that I am going to be in Hannibal this week-end with an opportunity to fish. Looking for any updates or advice on Mark Twain or Thomas Hill. I hope to hit both lakes time permitting.

havn't been to T hill in couple of weeks and bymo who stayed and fished after I left did almost nothing. still if you get out in Brush in 10 to 15 foot of water you should do fine. Or so it has been since last deer season.

It's getting to the point where I'm starting to get annoyed (only half-kidding) with my dad as he continues to absolutely hammer the crappie....... hopefully things keep up with my 3 day trip to MTL looming in under a month!

He went out a few times over the weekend........almost identical reports each time. Limits of solid crappie with a walleye kicker or two.

3 days on MTL and caught a lot of fish unfortunately less than a handful were over 9". My partner did hook a nice eye but lost it before he got it in the boat. Our first fish today was 11.5" and got our hopes up but we didnt catch another fish over 8" the rest of the day. The lake was over 7' above normal pool when we started on Friday and they have been dropping the lake over 6" each day I was there. We did see some bald eagles and very much enjoyed the trip even though we didnt find the keepers.

He's spending quite a bit of time on the water, don't be fooled.........also sorting through a lot of dinks as well. Running some bandits and hand painted cranks. Sometimes he's pushing cranks, sometimes pulling, depending on conditions.

Friday evening I get this little teaser........

The bite on Winnebago has been slow.......got after the salmon on Lake Michigan a few times with success. I know it sounds crazy but I'm almost ready for ice on so I can chase cold water crappie. I have a few places close that I can access whereas it's difficult getting on the big lakes right now without a boat (hopefully i have that resolved within a year).
