Default New Ozark - 10' Jigging Rod

    Hello crappie fishing folks,

I’m very excited about a new product coming out from Ozark Rod Company before the end of the year. It’s a 10’ (Kevin Rogers) Signature Series Rod made specifically for vertical jigging. For me, it’s been 25 years of tournament fishing in the making; it’s the rod my father and I have been using our whole career. This rod isn’t for everyone, it will only be available in 10’ with the option or cork or foam handle. Nobody likes a pushy salesperson, and I ensure you that’s not me, I love the sport of crappie fishing, especially one pole dipping and just want to share my passion for that and I get to do that through this new rod. Some folks like a rear reel seat, some like a flimsy’s tip and some folks like a heavy rod; this won’t be the jigging rod for you. This rod has a mod-stiff tip, heavy middle section and weighs less than 8 oz.; perfect for swinging giant crappie in the boat! So if you enjoy vertical jigging as much as I do, check these rods out. Available by the end of the year, they will be in the regular crappie retail stores such as Grizzly jig.

Thank you for listing to me ramble, crappie fishing rocks!

Kevin, how does this rod compare to the Todd Huckabee pro series rod in comparison to the action? Thanks!

I am used to the 11' pole, now the 10' pole feels short. Will have to give it a try when it comes out.

Slabbo it will weigh half of what Todd's rod does with the same backbone, I don't like a heavy rod. But some folks love a heavy super stiff rod, not my deal.

Thanks Kevin! Looking forward to seeing one, please keep us informed when they hit the shelf. I'm sure I can find room for another fishing pole.

Used to fish them but they broke to easy for me.
Been using Pro Angler's for years now and love them.
How do the new ones compare Kevin? I might give them a try if they are better than they used to be.
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.
