Outstanding! Ice fishing is a blast, and I see you know about Yak Trax to keep from busting your a**. Hogster, I saw your comment about fishing in the bathtub. I tried it to, but all I could get was dinks. Oh well . . .

LOL I know they just don't grow big in the tub
There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

I stopped by Harmony Mission conservation lake on my way back to the office this morning. I walked out to the end of the courtesy dock, stood on the ice while holding on to the railings and jumped up and down, not even a crack, or pop, it felt like concrete.

If you're headed out on the ice, check out Yak Trax. Reasonably priced and really effective. No slip whatsoever. I'm on an all volunteer fire district, and we bought them for all our volunteers. Helps us old men get around on the ice too. No sense slipping and sliding if you don't have to.
