I have an Ellis battery for my extra battery. These are made right here in Missouri, I believe! I ALSO use this Ellis, for the battery for my electric fence that's run around my garden. It's two years old, going on three this season, and has been charged allot, since I use it for the electric fencer too. I don't use my trolling motor much and it stays in the garage until I want to use it because I have a new, small hp, four stroke, and just use it,,... and,,... So far so good. Main battery is a wally world because yes, there's one around every corner,,... just in case. Don't know who would carry the Ellis. Bought it at a small engine repair shop because it's made here in the United States. Good luck!

Battery threads on boating forums are parallel to oil threads on motorcycle forums.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.

i usually get 3-5 out of delco voyager for trolling mtr batteries, 5+ out of starting. Just now replacing starting battery, looks like it was there since fall 2005.

I've got the Cabela's AGM batteries. Pricey, but good so far at nearly 3 years.

I've had Interstate for many years. I get 5yrs out of all of them. Only had one go bad out of 15 batteries. It was 3yrs old. Until I have a reason thats all I plan on buying. Hate the price but reliablity is great. You must maintain them well otherwise it doesen't matter what you buy they won't last.

I'll agree with Cray the Wal-Mart Everstart Maxx batteries are the best for the money. I've had bad luck with Interstate but that was about 8 to 9 years ago.
