Cool. Got to love little Wyatt and his big ole smile when he has fish in his hands.
Planned on getting out at daylight this morning but when i seen the bright flashes in the sky and heard the rumbling noises i decided to wait. Years past we would have jumped right on out there, maybe smarter or maybe older. I'm betting on older. Put in at 2:30pm and left the ramp at about 5:00pm. The same as it has been for us. Casting off the wier letting it drop and bringing it up along the front. Seen a few boats doing the two pole thing with not much luck at all. Our opinion is that the swimming jig works best. There is alot of fish to be caught right now with the corp keeping a low current. Went with Wyatt ( LPJ ) and partner Kelly ( LPF ) and had a great time. Good spot to take the kids to catch fish.

Did the wier via kayak Saturday. Easy limit, left time for drifting for cats below the dam. Planned on hitting it again this morning, but woke up at 3:30 and felt the cooler air, looked at radar and headed home. Showered and crawled back in bed.

looking gooooood
Yep, scored some good blues. Biggest about 8# so nothing huge or exciting, but good eaters to harvest. All I had were frozen shad from last year. Fresh might have done better.
