If I am out fun fishing yes, tournament day probably not depends on what in the box already. I would rather eat a 10"-11" fish best eating in my mind.

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night will keep me from crappie fishing!
2010 Lake of the Ozarks Super Slab Champion
Since I am mostly pre-fishing I throw them back, meat fishing they go in the box. Its hard saying if it helps or not, Wolf Creek has a 2 fish limit and they have to be 14 or better. Quite a few people have caught there biggest crappie on that lake. But right down the road at Toronto its a 50 fish limit with no size restrictions and that place is loaded with big fish.
Bigger fillets , just as good eatin' as a 10 incher .
13 inches up north is a hog! only caught one up north. ate him. Did catch and release a 14 inch black crappie late nov. 2010.
Crappie Fishing- Lots of Run...Sun...Fun...Catch a Ton...Or Didn't Get None!
going in the peanut oil at 350 degrees yep
I have thrown back 13" fish on Pomme, hopefully catch them in a tournament. Any other lake they get released in Lake Canola.
Anything 13 and over goes back in 10-12.5" for eating.
where do I find a 13 incher?
They all get thrown....right into the hot grease!
