anouther one dug up from the grave
Have tackle crafted all of my jigs n road runners about 30 years.Favorite colors are blaze orange ,chartreuse (green or yellow) ,red, and black. The fish want different colors, different days , different times of the day .Several years ago always hand painted all my jigs with vinyl lure and jig finish but switched to powder paint and that is my favorite finish by far.
Pink, red, orange .
gold 1/64 oz trout magnet jig with light green / black trout magnet --- a killer combo.
"As line descends below the surface, water absorbs the wavelengths of light selectively, one by one, as depth increases. Red is the first color to disappear, at a depth of 15 feet (which is why underwater photographers often use red filters to restore red colors in their pictures."
At best a fish's brain is the size of a pea. Humans assign human qualities and traits to animals. Ain't so Maynard.

I enjoyed this post from the past. Can someone set up a new poll with red and other colors included? It would be educational to compare the two.
Thank!
Pink and chartreuse, only use red in winter.
