CH68...that idea has come up before, just never taken any further. The logical lake would be Aliceville, since both states licenses are good there...might want to throw Columbus and Gainesville in the mix also. Could be a fifty or sixty boat tournament.

Yes Magnolia vs. West Al. would be great and I was contacted by someone a few weeks ago to see if I could make it happen. I am the president of MCC and I am planning on getting back with them to try to see if we can get something set up and approved for next season.
Also I am in favor of expanding up to north MS this coming year. I personal think it would be a great thing for our club and for the fishermen in the north part of the state. I dont think our board would have a problem of having a tournament or two up that way if we could pick up some members and club sponsors.

I'm all for either club to expand this way. It's just hard to drive 2 hours to fish a tournament for me. They are a ton of fun though!
-
pstone i didn't get a chance to meet you at the Grenada tournament but I hope you will come back and fish with us again.
-
I hope yall get this worked out.....I wanna play too!
-
MS33, I had as much fun at ya'll tournament as I have at any I have fished. I WILL fish with ya'll next year, even if it is just 1-2 tournaments.
-
A'ite it's apparent alll you girls are gonna do is sit around and talk about how somebody ought to do something.
Here's what I propose:
Not so much as a club, but a series of fruitjars. Maybe say 4 "tournaments". Say $25 a boat no matter if it's 1 or 12 people, best 5 fish wins, with a payout of 1 place per every 7 boats with $5 reserved for the 4th T, a championship. Top 10 boats eligible for the championship. Grenada, Enid and Sardis being the 3 lakes to be fished. I'm open to others along that path, but don't want to get too far off of 55, so it stays a true North MS deal.
Maybe the club thing will spring out of this, but let's make it more of a fun gathering rather than some rules driven club to get it off the ground. My thoughts would be to keep it affordable, fun, and easy at least initially.
Thoughts, criticisms, unwarranted personal attacks or downright rudeness anyone?

Yea id say that might be a good start, would we advertise and draw outside teams....5 fish, any means of catching them...I like that, no categories, just fishin.
-
Advertise? Heck, all you gotta do is tell everybody I'm gonna be there and they'll come from miles around.
I started to go down the road of adults/kids. I'd like to somehow come up with someway to recognize any kids that might show up and make sure they don't go away empty handed. Might add on something like a $25 fee and a "door prize" for an entry fee. That way, whatever we get we could hand out to the kids and make sure they enjoy themselves. Something along the lines of a bait, hat, or whatever.
When I say kids, I'm thinking less than say 16 years old. After about then, they start wearing baggy pants, playing music too loud and generally get on my nerves. So, 16 and up can fend for themselves with the rest of us. :)

Sounds good to me WB, BUT I say we stick with 7 fish. When is the first tournament Wb?
