    Good question.
    First an inspection to see what's wrong. Might be able to do repairs in layers and raise lake level as they go. It's 80 years old and might need lots of repairs.

    Has anyone heard whether or not recreation (crappie fishing will be stopped due to the problems with the dam? I understand lowering the water level will decrease the danger of a breach but will the ramps remain open? And which ramps will be an option at 210?

    We went on the lake in kayaks and there lots of boats today. Haven't heard anything about shutting it down. At 210 ft there will be 2 ramps to use, Patton on the north end and Bayou Point on the south end of the dam. At 210 Patton will give problems to boats over 14 ft long.

    Dub Patton Day-Use Area: 211.0
    Hernando Point Day-Use Area: 215.0

    Bayou Point: 209.0

    Kelley's Crossing: 211.0
    Pleasant Hill: 215.0

    Coldwater Point:: 220.0

    You can't get near the outlet tunnel/channel. Pratt Rd is blocked off by the air field. The low road at the north and south ends of the dam are blocked off. I guess the closest you can get to it is driving atop the dam. With these conditions I won't be crossing.
