    Default Skunks out

Well I got the skunk out of the boat for the year. May not catch another one. It had fun. Wind was kinda tough and water cold.

Well the water looks good wherever you were fishing. I had the same on The Rez a bit over a week ago. I made the only fish I caught stretch to feed both of us.....You took a good picture. Our fish are waiting on the "Memo" to get it on.

It’s an old small oxbow that was cutoff by the river and levee long ago. Mostly really shallow with a “deep” hole that about 10ft in parts mostly 3-5ft hole and rest of lake is 1-2ft. Water was back down in low 50’s this past weekend but was up in the 60’s two weeks ago. The Last two cold fronts cooled it down quickly.

The only oxbow I have fished in the batcher is Lake Washington. Fished it once, kinda sounds the same, one deep spot. I guess they were created for old current flows. I was really surprised by how shallow lake Washington is.
