    Didn't get the first crappie. My son carried home 4 large white bass.

    Ages ago, about 60 years there were large stones in the spillway. Some big enough for 2 or 3 people to lay on. We went Easter Good Friday, dad was the only one catching in our party of 5. Fished 14 to 18 ft deep with a 14 ft fiberglass rod. The type with the reel on the end and line goes through the rod. No limit back then, filled a #3 washtub with large crappie.
