Default Gulf Coast Rivers Waking Up!

The saltwater intrusion is finally pushing some Big Girls up river with the Males. Caught theses in the middle of the day today on jigs and shiners. When one stopped I switched and kept sticking steel to the Crappie. The Slab Sauce Concoction injected in the tubes worked "above average" today out fishing shiners 3 to 1. Left them biting that pumped tube jig because of hunger pains. I should have ate a Jethro Breakfast this morning.

Sorry to take so long to respond but I've been on Ross Barnett "un-plugged" for the last 4 days fishing. This box was caught in Jourdan River. It, the Biloxi, Tchoutacabouffa, and Pascagoula Rivers are more what this post applies to. The East Pearl has experienced too much flow causing the Crappie patterns to deteriorate. The last few years of excessive Pearl River flow has cut so numerous creeks thru the Honey Island Swamp everything communicates between both rivers to the point the water has to be below 7ft on the I-59 Gauge before the Middle Rivers and Wastehouse stops flowing and becomes Tidal.

Dropped the Hammer on more Coastal River Crappie today. It's really turning on.
It seems the 5 years of flooding has brought Whites to our door too.
