Default Pulling Cranks with Hi Teks?

Any of you guys pull cranks with hi tek rod holders? I have a set I use spider rigging and was wondering if they are sturdy enough for pulling. I tried to use the search and oddly nothing came up.

I've used them with zero issues. Check your bases regularly to make sure they screws haven't loosened.

How do you angle them? Straight up and down almost?

I pull with Millenium rod holders. I angle mine so that rod tip is about 6" above water surface. That way gives me an easier reading of crank depth from the dive charts.

I use the deep v holders and they have worked without any issues.

I modified Doug’s regular (non deep V) Hiteks with a #8 sheet metal screw on the pulling torsion side of the seat groove for more “meat” for the rod to pull against ...

Simply drilled straight down with a 5/32” drill bit and run the screw in and cover the screw with vinyl tubing ...
