    Default Jigs

I will be on Grenada in 2 weeks from Missouri. Could someone give me some ideas of what kind of jigs and sizes to stock up on before we come? I have been there once before and the bait shops were all "sold out" of what everyone said I needed so I'd like to come prepared. Will be spider riggging with minnows. Any help would be appreciated. Love reading your posts!!

I use anything from gnats tipped with minnows with hardly any weight, to 1/4. Oz with 2/0 hooks,,,,it’s all about how deep and how aggressive the fish are at that time,,,,but most guys starting point are 1/16 jighead tipped with minnows or nibbles..I always pick whatever larger size hooks sizes that come with jigheads because the fish there are magnum sized usually,,,bigger bait = bigger fish

1/16 - 1-8 jig heads are fine... find the biggest hooks possible 1/0-2/0 work best for me! As far as the plastics 2”-2.5” work fine something like southern pro 2” umbrella or the 2.5” hustlers. Bobby garland slab slayers... mr crappie jokers stuff like that. Color anything you want long as it has chartreuse in it lol
