    Default Garmin trolling motor

Is the Garmin trolling motor any good? Does it run contours with the Garmin graphs like the Minn Kota link can do with Humminbird? What units does it work with echomap, GPS map, etc? Any help would be appreciated.

    Default Garmin trolling motor

I’ve been running one for 6 months now. Capable of networking to gpsmap and echomap maybe others. Will not follow a con tour line per se but can lay down a track or route and it wil run the route. Never tried that though. Not important to me. Powerful
As snot. Pulls my 20’ aluminum with 115 4 stroke and 2 power poles to 4 mph. Quietest motor I’ve ever been around. Foot pedal is great for live scoping. I’m a big fan overall.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.

Lowe Catfish 20. Yep. It’s tin and I miss the speed and ride of glass but just could it justify getting a new glass boat.

Well, there is no right answer. I like my boat until I’m trying to livescope into the wind. The lack of a deep keel up front makes it want to turn when the wind blows and especially when it’s gusty. That leaves me fighting to keep the nose where I want it and may or may not mean I have to over correct with the TM which may mean I lose visual with my target. Frustrating.

Then again, I have a relatively good riding boat with lots of room and a 4 stroke that had 17 hours on it when I bought it for roughly 40% cost of a same vintage 21 ft boat with a 250 4 stroke.

Then again, I top out about 40 vs cruising at 60 and top ends of 70 plus

Then again, I’ve owned it for 6-8 months and I think I’ve put 25 gallons of gas through it total and it’s 3/4 full now.

Then again, I have to throttle way back in rollers and white caps

You see what I mean. It’s all a trade off. And everyone works with the budget they have, not the one they wish they had.

Then again, I fish when I can and not when the weather is good.

Then again, I really don’t fish that many days.

    Now my head hurts.

Had mine for a year it's plenty powerful and quiet. But I recently started having issues with spot lock and it will just all of a sudden turn back to the left and also stops for no reason when I'm using my remote.
