Thread: 1st Trip of the year

Got off work and didn't have a kids sports activity for the 1st time of the year, so I went fishing. What a relief it was to get on the water. Arrived at lake and backed boat in the water around 4 pm. Didn't make a big run bc I didn'thave much daylight. Started out fishing deep over deep water. Nothing. Shallowed my poles and went shallow...only one catfish. Decided to try shallow over deep water and BAM! Started catching some really good fish. Ended up with 12 Not a knock on livescope...if you got it I'm proud for you.....but I love finding them with my old 80's model depthfinder and working on their head. Its a cat and mouse game I enjoy. I would like to eventually get some better electronics but Im thinking like a Hummingbird Helix.
