    Default Livescope Mounting

I have searched and can’t find what I’m looking for on the Forum (probably just me)....but here goes.

I’m buying a new boat and setting it up for duck hunting and crappie fishing. I’m buying the Garmin Livescope but really uncertain on how I want to mount the transducer. I have heard “Don’t mount it to the trolling motor”, I’ve heard, “Mount it to the trolling motor”. I’ve have looked at Cornfield Crappie’s stuff and it seems well built (and well priced).
    What say you guys?

I am partial to having my transducer not turn with the trolling motor. I'm sure if you got used to it being that way and you always stayed straight downwind you would be ok, but not my preference. I have a bracket attached to trolling motor with a handle you can easily turn and stay focused on the fish. It's crazy how little movement it takes to loose sight of the fish. If I was casting and using both hands this would be tough to do, but with single pole jigging it works best for me. Good luck with your setup!

Very very very few cashing checks in the tournament world with transducer on a stand alone. Put it on the trolling motor and learn to use a foot control.

Agree with bird down. On TM is best overall but hard to learn. That said, if you are a spot locker/brush pile type fishing guy, that’s about impossible in high or very low winds. Not impossible, but it will wear you out at best and frustrate you at least. I’ve been noodling on this one. Looks like the best of both worlds or at least the best on the market to have both.

Complete All Sync System for Garmin Force.

The all sync is what it’s called.

A lot like the old Wannabe... except with fewer bad words. And Karate chop action. But, yes, still purtier than you.
