Default Best lake for crappie January-March

I am retiring in one year and am looking to spend January-March crappie fishing. I’m looking for recommendations on what lake would be a good fit with good fishing and a good area to buy/rent. Thanks for any info you can give me. Thanks!

Batesville area. You be right sardi,Enid and Grenada. Can usually fish one of the three no mater conditions. Best lake that time of year will depend on which one you can launch a boat at. With them at winter pool most of that period can be kinda tough accessing the lakes at times.

I would start at Ross Barnett then migrate north to Eagle, Lake Washington, then Grenada, Sardis and ‘Butla. Stay versatile and adapt to conditions. If you do this and pay attention to water levels, conditions, etc.... you will catch more and bigger fish than you have ever before.

Cray is right. Drop a pin anywhere between Sardis Grenada and Enid. Even Water Valley is central enough that you can be at either of the 3 in less than an hour. Then pick and choose according to the conditions.

Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.
