Thread: Crankbaits at Baysprings

I'm wanting to pull some crankbaits at Baysprings. I've never done this before and was wondering if I could get some pointers? What depths to start, do I pull over deeper points, over flats, over brudhpiles? It gets really hot after about 10 so I thought I could pull crankbaits to get a breeze blowing and stay on the water a little longer.

I have been pulling cranks mostly bandit 300’s in about 20 foot of water with good success. Water temps have been in low to mid 80’s. Here the thermocline has Ben around 14 feet. Been a lot of fun. Hope you do good. Also been pulling at 1.5 mph about 85 ft behind boat
