Catching crappie is not worth killing someone's grandma or grandpa by infecting someone that may come in contact with her.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District will keep its boat ramps, nature trails and fishing areas at Arkabutla, Enid, Sardis and Grenada lakes open in north Mississippi for the time being. Visitors must adhere to the governor’s executive order to avoid gatherings of 10 or more people. I would think when the governor says shelter in place unless it’s essential... I’m sorry but fishing isn’t essential... I got a 4 month old and a 5 year old at home I have to worry about! I trip to the lake ant worth it!!

So much complaining over doing the right thing for yourself and others around you just to catch a fish. I spent 25 years in the Army, 3 combat tours of 12 months or more and never once complained about it , nor let it get to me like some of these guys are about a stay home order. I been told what to do for the Americans people as long as I can remember. Did I get to fish those tours. NO! I did what was asked and did the best I could to get by for the American people back here to be able to damn fish. Most of the ones complaining about stay at home order and chilling out on traveling and fishing are the same ones that want to just wear the lakes out daily, getting the limit more times than you can count . Probably got enough fish to feed 100 for weeks. Lol. Fishing will always be here for us and holding off for a little while will make it that much better we we get back to it. It’s something we have to work through and help one another out though out this. But one thing about it, it is very serious and should be taken serious. It’s just not Gov Reeves saying, Oh! We don’t need to let the fishermen fish. Just think? Use good hygiene and Prey everyday that this country holds strong through these hard times as she has done many other times. GOD BLESS AMERICA Governor contact info.Governor contact info.Governor contact info.Governor contact info.

I hate it as much as anybody because the fish are on fire, but I think it’s the right thing to do for the well being of all of us.
At first I thought it was a crock, but it’s not. There’s a lot of people being killed by this junk and I’m all for doing my part to make it better. Besides fish eat everyday, not just In the spring.
And if they close barnett down for the entire spawn, it should be awesome next year.

I do family practice in Covington co and most all of us in the medical field get dept of health emails daily updating us. 3 weeks ago we saw our first case and now we’ll over a thousand. We don’t fully understand this virus and it’s effecting people different ways. If you value you and your families life you should stay at home. I’ve been helping out in our county covid test center and trust me it’s no fun wearing full protective gear for 12 hrs a day.

Thank you Murdok and to all other medical professionals risking their own health doing the necessary work for all fellow mankind. The pandemic has put us in a terrible situation that would be much worse if not for the medical professionals such as yourself.

Some of the docks are still open in NC ,I was at lake Hickory this morning for several hours and they never was over 8 vehicles at one given time in the parking lot thats is designed for 40.But after the weekend I am expecting everything to be locked down.I hate to see it coming especially this time of year but a few is going to ruin it for all.Like the man said,,Fishing will be here next spring and after this is over I plan to be right back fishing....Good luck to everyone and try to stay healthy...
