I dont think it will be short term...it will be extended and then re-extended ...going to take some time. We can fish later...lets all do our part to help get this under control.

I completely agree with and support what JMbrewer posted. I have been preaching the same thing to younger friends of mine that are not on CDC. And if we don’t all, everyone of us follow the rules and get over being so selfish then what G just said is for sure going to happen. And you need to understand that every extension is going to bring ever tighter rules. Look at what happened in Spain, as soon as they determined they had a problem and locked everything down they decided local police wouldn’t be able to in force it so they sent in the military to take over and I force the rules. My wife works every day with a tech group in India, they got shut down last week. They are forced to remain in their homes. The only thing they are allowed to do is walk to their local market to buy food in their neighborhood. All public transportation shut down, all business shut down, police patrolling neighborhoods. They are only allowed to be out of house to front of house inside the side walk. And you can say and I hope it won’t come to that but if people don’t listen we very well could get close to that. And for those of you reading this and don’t know I have already lost one friend last week to this and his wife suffered through it but survived and had another friend come close to dying from it. Think like JM said about all your family that you might expose to this if you get exposed at the boat ramp, or that buddy you carry with you. This ain’t no game and it ain’t going away anytime soon.

These are difficult times for all of us. Just remember why this is being done....do your part to keep those around you... your family, and your friends and neighbors safe. Never before have you had a chance to help so many by doing so little.

NO! And what I've heard just recently, that will be cleared up today. The Big 4 is controlled by the Corps of Engineers, a Federal Agency, and the State has no control over them.

I just got a text with this info
    Good news
I wanted to clarify some confusion about Grenada Lake and Governor Tate Reeves Executive Order and press conference yesterday. For all 4 Corps of Engineers Lakes nothing has changed. I talked to Chris Terry, Manager at Grenada Lake, and current conditions still apply. All trails, pavilions, parks, fields, playgrounds, Camping sites, the Visitors Center, etc. are gated and closed at least through the month of April. All boat ramps anywhere around the lake are open as is fishing at the Spillway on the North side. Access to the south side of the Spillway is closed. Until there is a directive from the State of Mississippi's Fish, Wildlife and Parks, there will be no change. The campground below the Spillway managed by Hugh White State Park is now closed. However, you can park on the North side of the Spillway and walk trails in that area. The Hugh White State Park Cabins are closed and will
not be taking reservations until further notice. I will keep you posted as I hear any updates. Gary Worsham, Executive Director, Grenada Tourism Commission. Call me at 662-614-4500 if you have any questions. Thanks.

Be Warned! If the Corps lakes are open to fishing, you can bet "Mr Green Jeans" will be on duty waiting for you at the ramp! So, if you fish be sure to adhere to the regulations on limit and MLL! jmo Stay well and fish on!

Should be a banner year when they re-open. All the folks who complain about the pressure on these lakes should look at this as a blessing in disguise.
