I'm not worried about ramp closings, but was just throwing it out there. During high water years of late a good many ramps were technically closed, some just aren't equipped with actual gates limiting access. Reason being understaffed during times like this, not many ranger's on duty. From what I gathered it's a fish at your own risk type deal. I've heard this from several on COE end and MDWFP side. Oh well, they can't block hundreds of miles of back creeks and roadside ditches. Take a heck of a lot of barricades for that. Small boats or a pair of waders suit a lot of guys this time of year much more often then being held up at a ramp. Either way sucks about this whole deal, but speculating or worrying about uncertain consequences isn't the right mind set. Go catch a fish if you get the chance!

Catch a few and you'll have people sitting in your back seat

It was supposed to be a big bass tournament that the COE pulled their permit. Think they had postponed too though.

There was a crowd at the pavillion (Engineers Point) around 3:30 yesterday afternoon. Looked like a weigh-in when I drove by there.
