May be a moot point. Multiple sources are saying that Grenada Lake officials are considering shutting down all campgrounds, day-use areas, trails, including fishing and boat ramps. Corps has already cancelled my three camping reservations on Enid at Persimmon Hill and refunded my card. Their campgrounds are closed through July 1.

I hope not. I have a trip planned to be there all next week. Where can a person get updates on what they are planning. I hate to drive 10 hours and be sent home.

Talked to a friend who is tight with one of the higher ups at the corps. He said they not even discussing closing the ramps for what that’s worth to you. Plenty of other places to stay. And with this stuff going on would expec plenty of availability because a lot of people are going to cancel plans to travel.

Thanks Cray, I have a place to stay close to Gums. Just hoping ramp is open and stores have Minnows. I love MS and would hate to miss my yearly trip. We catch, photograph and release and love the chance at the big fish MS is blessed with. Hope everyone remains safe and I hope to see you on the water.

    Treeline,
I was there fished Saturday. It was cold, cold, cold and windy as heck. We fished from 7:30 until 3:30 and only managed 7. Water temp was 59 degrees. It rained all day Friday, and then turned off COLD. Guide said the cold snap on Saturday gave them Lock-jaw. We fished in 8 and half feet of water and spider rigged at 6 foot deep. We fished the North end of the lake, if that helps. I did still manage to catch my personal best of 2.5 lbs. We're from North Alabama and around home 1lb to 1lb and half is the biggest I had ever caught before. Just sad to know those 7 cost us about 100$ a fish. We will go back, but hope you have better results.

you got a bargain on those 7 fish.
Crappie bite twice a day. 15 minutes before I get there and 10 minutes after I leave.

Not at Bayou Meto WMA. Many times in the last 25 years i’ve seen the lots full of out of State plates and just a couple from Arkansas. I can’t recall a single instance when there were no out of State plates but again thats at the Metropolis.
