im over here in Missippi from the florida board. was gonna look up our slabfest in april and wanting to come. Slab told me about it this morning. Not sure how i can pull a 20 foot Pontoon with a 30 ft RV?? Nevertheless, Note to man thinking of pontoon. I have a 89 suntracker that has been taken care of and looks pretty good. It has a center console that i wouldt trade for anything, It has a 1/2 third pontoon in the front. i carry 3-4 batteries on the left gas on right. I have lowrance structure scan on the console and the front for troling . trolling motor is minkota 80 lb thrust riptide(100 if i were doing it again although i have no problems with an 80 for this boat i have rod holders that i have found to be perfect for pontoon. i just lately installed these pics at the bottom of post..i have seen pntoons with really big toons. i believe that is probably the problem with fellows that want to use them fo fish. the whole boat sits farther higher up out of the water than my tracker. in fact by the time i add my self 3 or 4 batteries and gas i sit real low in the vack and lower in he front eue to the size of the toons. i believe this is a huge advantage for somebody wanting to spider rig our of a toon.or just fish. Keeping the top DOWN is a must in high winds or it will be hard t handle otherwise i wouldnt trade fishing out of my toon for notheing and especially as ive gotten older, its nice to be able to walk around and have some room. granted my litle bass boat got me in a lot more smaller places but i just learned to fish different spots. i have 2-15lb anchors the round ones . if the wind is blowing where i want to fish i just drop them and there has been times whe is a little rougher i have just trolled with them outdragging. there is always a none windy spot to fish n my lakes i can cross apretty rough lake to go to a lake that the wind isnt even hitting. the bass boats and everybody else is sitting home. thught my pics were on my computer apparently not i will find them and load and post for you tommorrow

Thanks for the description of your setup. Sounds like a lot of thought went in to it.

Biggest crappie to date is 3 lb 9 oz at grenada in 1988. Still hangs on my wall.
