Desoto Lake used to be a great place to fish and ski many years ago. I've heard that the Asian Carp have taken it over. Has the Lake become so unproductive that no one fishes it any longer, or are there some of you out there that still fish it for crappie and bream? Please take a minute and fill me in. Thanks!

DeSoto Lake. Carp have taken it. Most all the oxbows are overwhelmed. Natural die offs do occur and help a little.

Haven't fished it in years but, I used to haul a lot of crappie and bream out of it in the 70s and 80s. Hate to see it go down.

I've only fished it for bass. The bass are still there, but there is an abundance of carp. River way to high right now for best fishing. At least for me.
