Default Trolling rod advice for the big four

What are some good trolling rods?
I am in the market to get a set, but so many choices.
What do y’all use and why do you like/ not like them?
I’m leaning toward some Bucks pro staff B n’ M. 12’ and 14’ ones. These are what my buddy has, and I’ve used them some. They do fine, but I would like other opinions.
I will only be fishing Grenada or Washington so please keep that in mind.

    Thanks,

    Chilly

Depends on your trolling style. For 1/2 maybe 3/4oz go with a light action rod. For 1oz plus get a med heavy or higher action rod. A med heavy or med light in my opinion is the best all around rod. You can run 1/4 jigs early spring in shallow water to pushing cranks in the summer all on the same rod.

A million choices. I am a big fan of the 14 foot crappie maxx tightline special. Why? I can get them a few miles from my house at Bass Pro. And if you have a problem with one, they swap it out no questions asked. Is it the best? Don’t know. May not be worth a rip for all I know but that’s what I’ve used for 10 plus years and don’t know the difference. Good local service goes a long way with me. Ordering from the interweb from a faceless entity ain’t my favorite way to do business. With all that being said, I would go with whatever is readily available. Talk to 10 guys on here and I bet you 10 different opinions.

If you are fishing Grenada you can't go wrong with the Prostaff 16'. I know they are long, but the fish on Grenada are pressured heavy, and the extra length made a difference. I didn't think so, so I bought 14's. After getting taken to the woodshed by come buddies on a couple of occasions, I bought 16's and have been able to keep up since.

There is nothing wrong with the Southern Pro rods, almost unbreakable and with a reasonable price. Good people to deal with. my 2cts.

    I use two 16’ , 12’ pulling cranks and I’m well satisfied.

Bnm pst 12’. Pushing and pulling. 3 ounce weights with double rigs out the front. Only flaw is they break regularly usually break 1 or 2 a year. I run 6 poles. I use them 5 months out of the year every weekend weather permitting.

Default Trolling rod advice for the big four

I use 16’’ BNM PST’s and like them a bunch. I fished with the ACC’s and Denali’s in friends boats and they seemed like nice rods as well. I’ve heard the Jenko’s and H&H’s are good too.

The term "trolling" covers a lot of ground. You have spider rigging, long lining or pulling crankbaits or planer boards. I have 4 sets of trolling rods and all have a specific use depending on application. To make a long story short, if I can save you any trouble then look no further then Southern Crappie T series rods (other then pulling planer boards, l like heavy shorter rods for that). They aren't an official sponsor and sure I will catch a bit of flack, but oh well that's how that cookie crumbles Trolling rod advice for the big fourTrolling rod advice for the big four Seriously though they are decent rods. All the others suggestions are fine choices as well.
