    I fish a 6 ,10 , 14 , 18 on each side when pulling cranks , and long lining. My 18 footers catch more fish than my shorter rods every time . Hype .. I think not . Now I spiderrig with 16 ft BGJP , and have donated my 14 footers to charity. Long rods aren’t for everyone , but they catch more fish . I frankly don’t understand what your boat length has to do with anything about rod length ? Who cares if they hang out the back ? Bungie tips together and roll on .
