    Default GPS Options??

Wanting to upgrade electronics primarily for having a good gps map. I’d like to have the 7 inch screen in order to see better while running the boat. All I really care about is the depth, temp and a good gps. All other options included would be a bonus. Would be using more for hunting and marking locations but would also be used for my fishing. Any help would be appreciated.

I agree that the Humminbird Helix line is hard to beat. There are a lot more budget friendly options out there, however, in both the Humminbird and Lowrance lines that will certainly do a good job giving you the things that you want one to do. Be sure to let us know what you decide... and of course how you like whatever you decide on.

Get the Helix 7 GPS/DI Gen 2 if you can find one. You should be able to pick up a LakeMaster V2 or V3 at a reasonable price. With everybody now wanting the Mega units (for good reason), the non-Mega units should be a bargain.
